White doves
fly freely in the sky
lions, wolves and foxes
roam about on land

White doves
in praise of their Lord
lion, wolves and foxes
in praise of themselves

Lions with crowns
aggressive in nature
those who come near
are mauled one after another

Wolves in feathered clothes
substantially treacherous
attacking from behind
those around them

Bearded foxes
ever deceitful
manipulating and deceiving
others within their reach

When white doves
extend their wings
in praise of their Lord
lions with crowns
wolves in feathered clothes
bearded foxes
are defeated eventually.

checks and balances of men

for their

training dedications

high self-believe

inspires and motivates us all

I revere these people

prophets, thinkers and athletes

for their existences give me

visions and possibilities that I can be

making life very fulfilling before it is my turn to leave.

IF YOU ASK ABOUT SOCIAL CHANGE

If you ask a political scientist about social change, he/she would say that election and mobilisation are platforms for it.

If you ask a sociologist about social change, he/she would state that discourse and critique are avenues for it.

If you ask an international relationist about social change, he/she would answer that global governance and great powers are mediums for it.

If you ask an economist about social change, he/she would reply that finance and investment are tools for it.

If you ask an educationist about social change, he/she would mention that nurture and development are ways for it.

If you ask a religionist about social change, he/she would say that worship and remembrance are paths for it.

Thus, actually, social change begins with oneself, using all of the above ways to achieve the social change that we dream for collectively.

Life is like that
pleasures are few

for us to pay heed

worries are abound

that life is verily incomplete

defeats are many
for us to admit
that life in this world
is just a bridge
to the true life with HIM
that awaits

when the time comes

by indoctrinating talents
through propagations and ideologies
they will protect against challenges
when the situation arises

through incentives and deprivations
they will rise against risks
when the landscape changes

Is it true?, that
nations and states
societies and communities
groups and organisations
will shield each other
when He blows a single breath
of His Decisive Will and Desire
through death, disease and disruption.

THE SHARIAH

The Shariah
in establishing justice
compassion should succeed
henceforth preventing
evil and wrongdoing
finally to overcome
oppression and cruelty
because
the Shariah
is not only
standing, prostating and sitting
on a prayer mat
supplicating for centuries
or just
invocations, recitations and chants
or standing up firm
in the wee hours of the night
other than
the practices of human activites
until the tongue is wet
the sweat from toils are felt
and the soul feel in threat
when in fact
our young ones and youths
drown and adrift
forgetting their roots
and objective of life
while the rights of others
are transgressed exceedingly
for the complete fulfilment
of the Shariah
is pertinent
for those who declare themselves
as people who are of faith.

THE TRAVELLER

Every traveller
has been given
in the journey
towards
spiritual heights
this path
has its chain
to the beloved one
whereas
that path
has its links
to the chosen ones
for indeed
these two paths
are premised
on His Laws
chartering for
every traveller
to internalise and realise
his own self
so as to witness
the majestic reach
of HIM, The Most High.
